Prairie Roots. Premier Dreams.
The Prairie Premier League (PPL) is a regional league housed under Premier Soccer Leagues Canada (PSLC) and will launch its inaugural season in 2026, marking a new chapter for high-performance soccer across the Prairies.
Built from the ground up, the league provides a clear developmental pathway for players transitioning from youth to senior competition, while supporting university and post-secondary athletes seeking a structured, demanding, semi-professional environment.
In its inaugural season, six men’s teams will compete, including three teams from Saskatchewan, alongside clubs from Manitoba and Northern Ontario.
Forza Soccer is proud to be one of the founding clubs.
This is more than a season — it’s a collective build.
Launching a new semi-professional program on the Prairies is ambitious — and intentional.
Forza’s Prairie Premier League team is being built with:
high performance standards
shared responsibility
transparency
deep community roots
This program is not being imported or franchised. It is being built here, by players, staff, supporters, and partners who believe high-level soccer belongs in Saskatchewan.
Forza Soccer invites committed, high-performance male athletes aged 17–25 to attend the Forza Soccer PPL Men’s Tryouts. These sessions are designed to identify players capable of competing in a demanding, elite environment and contributing positively to a team being built from the ground up.
Session 1
Monday, February 16
1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Martensville Recreation Centre
Session 2
Tuesday, February 17
5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Saskatoon Soccer Centre
Players are strongly encouraged to attend both sessions to ensure a complete and fair evaluation.
All players must arrive a minimum of 30 minutes prior to their scheduled session to complete check-in and be fully prepared to begin on time.
Participation in the Prairie Premier League reflects a shared commitment between players, the club, and the broader community.
A $80 non-refundable tryout registration fee is required to attend PPL tryouts.
Players selected to the Prairie Premier League roster will be required to submit a $700 initial commitment to confirm their place for the 2026 season.
The Prairie Premier League operates within a semi-professional club model. The total operating cost for the 2026 season is approximately $100,000, reflecting league fees, coaching and technical staff, facilities, travel, equipment, insurance, and program administration.
Player contributions form one part of the funding structure. The program is also supported through sponsorships, partnerships, and fundraising efforts, all of which are essential to making this inaugural season possible.
As a founding team, this league will only succeed through collective effort.
Forza is actively pursuing corporate sponsorships and community partnerships, and fundraising initiatives will be part of the season. Players, families, alumni, supporters, and local businesses are invited to be part of this build — not as donors alone, but as stakeholders in a shared vision.
Those who join the Forza PPL team are not just committing to matches and training — they are helping establish a lasting presence for high-performance soccer on the Prairies.
